TELEPHONE PAVILION |
Canadian telephone companies tell the story of Canada and Communications within the context of Man and his World. The Telephone Pavilion is adjacent to the Man the Explorer Theme complex on Ile Sainte-Hélène. It is easily reached by Metro or Expo-Express. "Canada 67", one of the pavilion attractions, is a thrilling Walt Disney film in "Circle-Vision 360°". This realistic presentation gives the viewer the feeling of "being there" at outstanding events and scenes throughout Canada.
"Canada 67" is a rare Disney film indeed, unseen since the end of Expo 67. It was a popular attraction and often had long lines of guests waiting outside. After the film, visitors could try out a variety of telephones, such as the new Princess models or the ill-fated Picturephone. (CD #1 Set 2 #3) |
