In 1967 Canada celebrated the 100th birthday of the nation in spectacular style, hosting Expo 67. This World's Fair was held on a group of islands at Montreal, with colorful pavilions from nations around the world. Expo proved to be so popular that it stayed open as "Man and His World" for several years, and portions of the fair are still in use even today. Now you can turn back the clock to 1967 and relive the fun once again through this collection of photos and information on Expo 67.

MONTREAL'S EXPO 67
Want more information? My book looks at the building of Expo 67, the many wonderful pavilions, and its later life as "Man and His World." It went on sale on October 17, 2016 in both English and French editions.
MAN AND HIS WORLD
Much to the delight of millions, Expo 67 did not close for good as originally planned at the end of the 1967 season. The next year saw it return as "Man and His World." For more than a decade parts of Expo 67 lived on, with many new tenants and shows appearing in the former world's fair pavilions. This section examines the many changes made between seasons shen it was still a ticketed theme park.

MAGAZINES AND NEWSPAPERS ABOUT EXPO 67
Expo 67 was a major event, and periodicals from around the world covered the design, building and operation of the event.
Many of the pavilions at Expo 67 passed out souvenir booklets with information about the sponsoring countries and companies. A number of them are available here in PDF format.
FILMS AND TELEVISION
The fanciful pavilions provided eye-catching backgrounds for several TV shows and movies, some filmed during Expo 67 and others many years later. Take a look at how the world saw Expo 67 on the screen.
