“The Origins of the Japanese and Their Culture”
| Where did the Japanese people come from? How did the Japanese culture
evolve to become what it is today? The Matsushita Electric Group has gathered
its advanced technology in this pavilion for a thought-provoking presentation
on the possible origin of the Japanese people. Modern technology was used to showcase ancient artifacts in a new light, using them to show clues on the evolution of the people of Japan. A film then traced the path of nomads in China and pointed out similarities in their lifestyle to those of ancient Japan. While the guidebook and maps list this as the Matsushita Pavilion, the building bore the name of one of the company's brands, Panasonic. (CD #3 Set 6 #11) |
