SWEDISH PAVILION

“Quality of Life”

With the largest area of virgin forest in Europe, almost 100,000 lakes, and countless islands off a long coastline, Sweden is richly endowed with natural beauty. Sweden, the home of the Nobel Prize, also has a distinguished record of innovation in science and technology.

Emphasis on the "quality of life" in Sweden includes preservation of the natural environment and a concern for a better life.

Giant copies of Swedish postage stamps greeted visitors to the pavilion. Once inside, after films on the industry and tourism of Sweden, postcards were available which would be shipped to Sweden for mailing back to Japan. (CD #3 Set 6 #26)
